Fenner v. Juniper Networks, et al.

Peter Fenner, a sole inventor, successfully asserted his two patents against a host of large, high tech companies such as Nortel, Nokia, Cisco Systems, and Ericsson.

Collaborating with the attorneys at Fulbright & Jaworski and local counsel, The Focal Point assisted in developing strategy, conveying themes, and creating graphics that explained the complex technology in the case: mobile IP addresses and managing billing systems within cellular networks. Graphics included step-by-step claim element walk-throughs and analogies that equated the technology at issue with the "Where's Waldo?" cartoon and the U.S. Postal Service.

Each company settled with Mr. Fenner for substantial sums before going to trial.
