Integrating juror feedback into your trial preparation.

Feedback ForumOur Feedback Forum is an affordable and highly effective way of integrating juror insight into your early trial preparation process, with an emphasis on theme and argument development. Utilizing the qualitative approach to focus groups employed in consumer research, a Feedback Forum consists of a highly experienced moderator leading a panel of eight to twelve potential jurors through an exploratory discussion about your case. In addition to soliciting feedback on the preliminary themes and arguments in the case, the session investigates the questions jurors want answered and mines their collective consciousness to unearth new themes, arguments, and analogies that might have been overlooked.

Efficient, effective, and immediate

Feedback Forum gives you the information you need early in your preparation while limiting the resources and time invested to obtain it. The format enables you to realize the tangible benefits of traditional juror research without the waste.

Our approach offers the following advantages:

Maximum efficiency—Preparation time by the attorneys is minimal, and mostly contained within a half-day workshop with the moderator and your TFP team. In that workshop, we develop and refine the themes, ideas, and evidence we will be testing.

Maximum effectiveness—Our sessions focus on listening to and learning from the collective wisdom of the audience. The moderator-led format allows us to adjust to juror reactions in real-time. This maximizes the depth and value of juror discussion and ensures that you get tangible feedback related to your case.

Immediate impact—You can put the insight you gain to immediate work in your case. You don’t have to wait weeks for a voluminous report; we meet with you as early as the next day to discuss our recommendations and how to begin applying them in your trial preparation.

Coming out of a Feedback Forum session, your trial team will have a firm grasp of your case and a clear understanding of the direction for your trial preparation. If conducted early enough, the insight from your session can even help guide your discovery, allowing you to develop your evidence and witness testimony with increased confidence and efficiency.

“Our discussions with the jury after the verdict revealed that The Focal Point’s work had a major impact on how the jury viewed the case and helped persuade them to see the dispute from our client’s perspective.”
