Prestigious Litigators, Judges, Leading Trial Strategy and Graphics Firm Participate in the California State Bar’s Champions of the Courtroom
Oakland, Calif. (May 2, 2005)—Many of California’s most prominent trial lawyers and judges joined The Focal Point LLC and the State Bar of California for the Litigation Section’s foremost annual event, the “Champions of the Courtroom” trial symposium. Event participants included Judge Lawrence W. Crispo, J.A.M.S. Los Angeles; Justs Karlsons, Esq., Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP, San Francisco; Karen Jo Koonan, National Jury Project, Oakland; and E. Bob Wallach, Esq., San Francisco. Raoul Kennedy, Esq., a partner in the San Francisco office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP was honored with the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame Award.
“Champions of the Courtroom,” which took place in Napa, Calif., April 15-17th, centered around a mock trial wherein panels of attorneys and judges argued the case and subsequently critiqued trial tactics.
The Focal Point, the country’s trial leading strategy and graphics firm, created the fact pattern and developed the trial graphics for both plaintiff and defendant in the hypothetical case. The Focal Point partner G. Christopher Ritter also presented the initial talk of the conference, “Creating and Using Winning Trial Graphics.”
“We have participated in ‘Champions of the Courtroom’ for the past six years, and every year it's a different and exciting top-notch event,” said Ritter. “It's a great opportunity for some of the premier trial lawyers to exchange ideas on trial strategy and graphics.”
