Online streaming service Netflix was sued in the International Trade Commission for allegedly infringing four patents held by Rovi related to various aspects of on-screen menu technology.

The Focal Point’s Role

The Focal Point worked with long-time clients at Keker, Van Nest & Peters to develop graphics for witness direct statements that were submitted prior to the ITC Hearings, as well as graphics and themes that were presented during the week-long hearing in Washington DC.

In a complete win for our client, the ALJ ruled that Netflix did not infringe any of the asserted Rovi patents and went so far as to invalidate one of the patents as well.
